Faculty of Health Sciences is an independent higher education institution which, in legal transactions acts independently, on its own behalf and for its own account, with all the rights and obligations and performs legal practices within the framework of the activities set out by the Act of Establishment and the Statute, without limitation. Faculty is liable for its obligations with all means at its disposal.
The organisational structure of the Faculty is precisely defined by the Statute of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The main task of the individual department is to care for a fluent running and development of the educational and scientific research programmes, including scientific disciplines with determined study areas.
Research groups are formed in a certain research area for the implementation of basic, applied, developmental and other projects, and for the provision of professional, advisory and other services being financed by public funds or by the research customers. Research, professional and consulting work in the research groups is performed by the higher education lecturers, scientific workers and students, but also by other specialists.
The Institute associates higher education lecturers, scientific workers and colleagues within the framework of the research or professional work in the field of scientific disciplines developed by the faculty. The main tasks of the institutes are: the implementation of the scientific research work within the framework of the national research and development programme, realization of projects and programmes for customers outside the national development plan, the performing advisory and other professional work, co-organising conferences, symposia, seminars and consultations, informing public of the research results, care for the implementation of new discoveries.
The library carries out the information and documentation activities for the educational and scientific research programmes, including development work of the faculty. It is intended for lecturers, scientific workers and colleagues, students and other users.
Centres are internal organisational units of the faculty, which are established in order to coordinate and organise educational and to develop research work.
Administration carries out administrative, financial-economic and professional-technical tasks. The Administration unit comprises the Dean’s Office, H.R. Department, Student Affairs Office, Accounting and Technical Service. Secretariat is run by the Head Secretary.
