The supplementary study programmes
The awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning permeates every pore of human activity. The interests of individuals and employers change over time and must be constantly harmonised. For this purpose, UNM FZV offers, in addition to study programmes, excellent accredited supplementary study programmes that cover topical contents in the field of nursing care and health care.
The supplementary study programmes are a form of lifelong learning and are mostly intended for perfecting, supplementing, deepening and updating knowledge in the narrower professional or work areas of nursing care.
The second-cycle study programme Nursing Care contains parts of the study programme which are being implemented as supplementary study programmes (the name of the supplementary study programme matches the name of the selected module of the master's study programme Nursing Care):
In accordance with the Criteria, the implementation of the supplementary study programme is credit evaluated, amounting to 36 ECTS.

Each part of the study programme includes the following learning units:
Part of the study programme comprises 1080 hours or 36 ECTS. With the programme students acquire in-depth knowledge of the content area (18 ECTS) and knowledge in the field of the elective courses (14 ECTS). The supplementary study programme also includes final research paper (4 ECTS).
Obligatory instances for the students are:
Verification and assessment of knowledge is designed in a way, which enables students to get continuous and quality feedback on their progress and achievement of competences/objectives. The study programme requires students ongoing work, therefore the assessment of knowledge is more diagnostic, formative and summative. The verification and assessment process is carried out regularly during and after the completion of individual courses. On the elements of the verification and evaluation criteria, the students are informed orally at the beginning of the programme and in writing with the syllabus for each course. The assessment takes into account the ECTS grading scale.
Students complete the supplementary study programme, when they successfully complete all with the study programme intended obligations in the amount of 36 ECTS, for which they are given a certificate (according to the Article 32a of the Higher Education Act - last indent), which is a public document.
The general condition for enrolling in an individual advanced suuplementary study programme is completed education at level 7 according to SOK.
